Stories

Sling (Sky Shadow) by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: Even if you don't care for the combining gimmick, this is a good basic. Both modes are strong, the colours work and the play value is excellent. The strong plane theme in robot mode should appeal to G1 fans and the play value to fans of the later series.

Slings and Stones by kidu

Rated: G • starstarstarstar
Summary: Superion contemplates whether those who follow an evil leader must themselves be evil.

Slingshot (G2) by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: My least favourite Aerialbot, now in a shiny brittle gold plastic. The other G2 Aerialbots all form a unified colour theme, but Slingshot ruins this. Throw in the tendency for this gold plastic to fracture and this is not a good toy.

Slog by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: The worst toy in this set, Slog suffers from his position as the core of Monstructor. The animal mode is terrible, the shell is ugly and has no legs while the robot mode is really the only worthwhile aspect of this toy.

Sludge by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: Along with Swoop, the best Dinobot, in my opinion. Mainly because he doesn't have any real flaws aside from the overly large robot legs. But also because his transform deals with his long body so effectively.

Sludge-Colored Windshields by Zylly

Rated: G • starstarstarstarhalf-star
Summary: Huffer speaks. You've been warned.

Slugslinger by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: Solid in both modes, good poseability, a good Targetmaster that compliments Slugslinger well and a nice colour scheme. Whilst he's not without his flaws, he's worthwhile.

Slugslinger by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: A good toy with a decent jet mode and a good robot mode with lots of playability. He's not as cool as he should have been, thanks to someone deciding orange paint was a good idea, but definitely worthwhile.

Small Problems by Ty-Chou

Rated: G •
Summary: Megatron has a ray gun that shrinks Autobots, leaving them two and a half feet tall and very far from home.

Small Problems Title Pic by Ty-Chou

Rated: G • starstarstarstarstar
Summary: The title picture that I did for my fanfic "Small Problems"

Small Sacrifice by Meister

Rated: G • starstarstarstarstar
Summary: In war, bad things happen to good people. There's nothing that can change that-- but along the way, those people can find strengths they never knew they had before. Besides-- the Lambo brothers aren't the only ones who save lives. Jazz does it with more

Smallest Bluestreak by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: This is a very good reproduction for such a small scale, that looks very much like Bluestreak in both modes. The unpainted taillights mean he's not as well done has Prowl, and considering the scarcity of this toy, I'd say just grab Prowl if either will do

Smallest Jazz by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: This is a very good reproduction for such a small scale, which really works as Jazz in both modes.

Smallest Optimus Prime by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: Yes, it's another Optimus Prime, but a tiny G1 Optimus Prime toy is something new, and of course he was always going to be a part of this line. So I'm happy to say this _is_ a good toy.

Smallest Prowl by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: This is a very good reproduction for such a small scale, that looks very much like Prowl in both modes.

Smallest Red Alert by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: A very cool mini Red Alert, with a great car mode and solid robot mode. The level of detail achieved in the paint job is fantastic, and this compensates for the minor problems the robot mould has.

Smallest Sideswipe by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: A good shrunken Sideswipe, with a great car mode and solid robot mode, which is very faithful to the original. Whether or not you get it depends on how much you like the concept and how much you like Sideswipe.

Smallest Soundwave and Ravage by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: Soundwave is phenomenal for his size, since both modes are detailed and surprisingly accurate reproductions of the original toy. His poseability is great, his accessories are better than they deserve to be - even if Ravage isn't much by himself.

Smallest Thrust by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: A great replication at this scale, Thrust has some improvements on his larger original as well as some new flaws introduced.

Smokescreen by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: A tech spec for Smokescreen, the fighter jet sold with G2 Dreadwing.

Smokescreen by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: A great mould for the time, although by the time he came out, Smokescreen was the third use of the mould. But with a unique colour scheme and addition of a bodykit Smokescreen is different enough that G1 fans will appreciate him on his own.

Smokescreen (Binaltech) by Dirge

Rated: G • starstarstarhalf-star
Summary: The realism of the car mode and poseability of the robot mode are both excellent. The robot form, head mould and basic transformation scheme are Smokescreen, so it's a great update of the character.

Smokescreen and Liftor by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: Smokescreen's crane mode is quite good but his robot mode leaves a _lot_ to be desired. Liftor is the real prize here, although whether or not you buy a deluxe just for a Minicon I'll leave up to you.

Snapdragon by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: If you like Headmasters, you should like him, and you can do far worse in that subgroup. Krunk is the only place on the toy with red plastic on it (and Krunk has red in abundance), but luckily it only really shows in Nebulon mode. The plane and robot mode

Snaptrap by Dirge

Rated: G •
Summary: The colours are used quite well, both modes are cool and rather evil looking, and Snaptrap has a very well designed transformation, with some really thoughtful aspects. Even if you're not planning on getting Piranacon, I'd recommend Snaptrap.
