Origin....Alternate Ending by Blade

I was in a rather odd mood when I came up with this little story. I had to use the existing dialog, only because it fit in with my alternate ending- I hope you will be able to forgive me.

The techno-organic tendrils surrounded the Decepticon leader. Quickly he was engulfed and held fast against the wall of Unicron's interior.

"Galvatron!" Optimus Prime cried out in shock and took a step forward in an attempt to help his former nemesis, only to have the tentacles turn on him, "AAARHG!"

"Don't even think about it." Unicron taunted. "You can't win! Do the right thing and merge with me. It's your only chance."

"Never!" Optimus spat back in rage.

"Don't deny the inevitable, Prime. You have no other choice."

"Ha!" The Autobot leader snorted in defiance and attempted to summon the power of the Matrix to no avail.

Outside the battle raged on . The combined forces of the Decepticons and Autobots pummeled the immense monstrosity of Unicron. Unbeknownst to them, their fodder only fueled his hunger.

"This is a total circus!" Galvatron growled in a struggle to free himself.

"I have little patience for your incessant complaining, Galvatron." Unicron warned. "Perhaps it is time to make myself clear.

The appendages consumed the Decepticon, crushing him in its embrace as he struggled hopelessly against them. Upwards they climbed, penetrating his armor, connecting into his mainframe. Galvatron gnashed his teeth as the power of the tentacles forced him into stasis. Unicron laughed manically, the sound resonating throughout his hulking form.

"Unicron, NO!" Prime shouted out in horror and fear. "GALVATRON!"

"As you can see, Optimus. I grow tired from your insolence. And don't think you are immune from my wrath. You can resist my gracious offer, but it will be at your own peril." Unicron pressed, "Now, why don't you accept my offer and merge with me? Then you will witness our rise to greatness. It is your destiny, Optimus."

Optimus was held fast, helpless to do anything except listen as Unicron recounted his origins. Describing in chilling detail how all the hatred, all the fighting served only one purpose- it was food. Feeding him as he grew into the all-powerful being that was now threatening Cybertron.

"As long as hatred exists, I shall remain impervious to attack." Unicron continued his mental torment of the ensnarled Prime. "It is time you showed your true colors, Optimus. Admit to yourself you crave war, like a human craves oxygen. And, it is useless to deny it any longer, Optimus."

Optimus hung his head as Unicron spoke, not want to believe the malevolent beast's words.

"It's not true!" A faint voice cried out.

"Huh?" Optimus weakly turned his head towards the sound.

Unicron's evil laugh rang out yet again. "It appears your fan club has arrived, Optimus." He teased.

"Optimus!" Rad called out the imprisoned commander, fear tainting his voice.

"I await your decision-" Unicron continued with his diatribe against the protest of the minicons. "We are one in the same-."

"Hey! Highwire's not like you! You metal moron!" Carlos shouted brazenly.

"He's right!" Alexis entered they fray. "We know the minicons were programmed for peace, you creep!"

"You humans know nothing of the matter!"

"ENOUGH!" Optimus called out with the last remaining vestiges of his strength. "All right, Unicron. You made your point. Grant me one request and I'll do it. I'll join you."

" You are in no position to bargain with me, Prime."

"No! Hear me Unicron. This will befit the both of us." Optimus continued.

"Very well. What is your request?" Unicron asked with interest.

" The kids. Get rid of the kids. Only then will I merge with you."

"Optimus, No-.Don't do it-You can't-.I don't wanna die-.I can't die on an empty stomach-." The five children cried out in protest.

"Do we have a deal, Unicron."

Unicron's hellish laugh rose in a great crescendo that drowned out the children's screams. In a great flash of light that could only have been drawn in anime, the children vanished.
