nraimonde@yahoo.com

32

4. Are you female or male?

Female

5. What is the name of your home page name and what is its URL?

I don't have a home page

6. List the Transformers fanfics have you written.

1. Decepticons vs. Barney. A Mother's Fantasy

2. Nostalgia-. Or how my children turned me back on to the Transformers

3. A Beautiful Day

4. Second Guesses

7. Which, of the Transformers fanfics you've written, is your favorite and why?

While I like them all, I am fond of my essay. I love the fact my sons can find so much enjoyment watching cartoon I watched over 20 years ago.

8. Which is your favorite Transformers fanfic written by someone else and why?

A Chance in a Million and Nightbird-The Aftermath by Raksha. It gives Megatron depth. He's portrayed as a cliché of the bay guy in the cartoons, I hate that. There's so much more to him, oh God it sounds as if he's real-I like Springer's Confrontation. It's a great story about a character she created named Blade, whom I chose as my namesake on Lexicon.

9. What influences you to write Transformers fanfic the way you do?

I don't really have a style. It truly depends on how the story plays out in my head. I think if you look at my four submissions, there all different.

10. What other Transformers fanfics writers write in a similar way to you?

I not really sure. I do however love the way Raksha's stories I mentioned earlier are written. They're so descriptive!

11. How much time do you usually spend writing Transformers fanfic?

Not much. You try sitting down at a computer with three kids after you. Seriously, after my housework is done at night I jot down ideas or work on my story lines for a couple hours or sit at the keyboard.

12. What inspired you to write Transformers fanfic?

I was amazed when I found websites dedicated to this particular aspect. And thought I'd give it a whirl.

13. What drew you to Transformers in particular?

I was always a tom-boy. My mom constantly bought me Barbie and Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I hated them. The Smurfs were big when I was young, I hated them, too. When I saw the cartoon on TV, I was fascinated. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. And, to a kid like me, huge transforming robots are cool. I was always picked on when I was younger ( No I am not bitter, honest) and to see the weaker Autobot but up a fight against the stronger Decepticons, that was great to watch.

14. Who is your favorite Generation 1 or Generation 2 Transformers character (fan-created or official) and why?

As a child I liked Ironhide- he was a cowboy. As an adult I like Jazz. It's nostalgia-. Scatman's voice and the characters unflappable attitude. And, of course Optimus, Megatron, and let's not forget Starscream. Oh, and Soundwave's cool- I could go on forever.

15. What do you like most about the official Generation 1 and Generation2 canon?

I have only honestly watched the Gen 1 series. I like the theme of the series. Two races at war each other, each trying to annihilate the other. Good vs. Evil. Conservation of natural resources. These points are still relevant today.

16. Who is your favorite Beast Wars character (fan-created or official) and why?

I have never seen Beast Wars. But, I have heard they are coming out on DVD. If they do, my kids will want them and I let you guys know.

20. What do you like most about the Robots in Disguise canon?

21. Who is your favorite Robots in Disguise character (fan-created or official) and why?

Sorry. But I haven't seen RID.

22. What do you like most about the Armada canon?

It's still Good vs. Evil. And the premise of a weaker species over coming oppression. The Good guys standing up for the little guy.

23. Who is your favorite Armada character (fan-created or official) and why?

Megatron and off course Starscream. On some level, they remind me of my husband and I when we fight- not that we're blasting one another, mind you. And Optimus- he seems more proactive in this series. Now , I know it wasn't asked- But I wish he would step on those annoying kids- Wait! That would make a great fanfic!

24. What parts of your Transformers fanfics are based on events in real life?

None of them are, they are figments of my overactive imagination.

25. What would you like to change about the Transformers fanfics you've written?

My grammar stinks. And, I would love to make them more descriptive . In Beautiful Day, I had the hardest time describing the characters feelings and their surroundings. I have a real fear of going overboard and that holds me back sometimes.

26. What do you consider to be a trite or overused theme in fanfics and why?

At times, romance. I have read stories that make the "Big Mech's' come off as totally "interface whipped'. Sometimes their personalities get lost in all the mush.

27. Have you had any interesting feedback as a result of your Transformers fanfics?

Any feedback is interesting. I wish the readers who have hit on my stories would let me know what they like or don't like more often. I welcome any help they are willing to offer.

28. How much time do you spend online? What percentage of that time is devoted to Transformers?

I have yet to time myself.

30. Have you any other comments to make about Transformers fanfic?

I am impressed by all the fine writers out there. What colorful imaginations! I truly enjoy reading their submissions. People wish all the time to go back and relive their childhood, I get to do that when I write. It's a great escape from the rigors of housewifery and motherhood. Thanks to all.
