I used to hate Rodimus with a passion, but being that I have a strong liking for Hot Rod, I gradually began to accept Rodimus. It's true that he was the one that grew through season three. You have to remember that Kup also mentioned in "Burden Hardest to Bear" that Optimus Prime went through the same thing. Optimus is very very matured by the time we meet him in seasons 1 and 2. So by this time, he's become the "cliche" hero. Also, he wasn't completely seperated from his team, he was trying to let them in on his plans. But overall, I like your article, he does point out the good things in Rodimus, next time try looking from the other side of the fence and use arguments against them.
Why is Optimus set apart from the Autobots? Because he's seen so many of his friends die throughtout time in an endless war. Don't worry, when Roddy sees more of his friends blown to bits, and then get blamed for every failure, he'll start to set himself apart as well. He might seem like such an average Joe to all now, but he's young, and over time he will naturally separate. Optimus (Orion) was once a simple doc worker who had a best friend and a girlfrined. In his youth, he was an average Joe also. Lets not forget that.
